Aromatherapy ~ An Ancient Art

The term ‘aromatherapy’ is a relatively new name given to an ancient art. It was introduced to us by Rene Maurice Gattefosse in 1928 who was referring to therapeutic uses of aromatic substances, what we now know as essential oils. Since the beginning, the practice was an holistic approach encompassing the body, the mind and the spirit (energy and emotions). Holistic therapy is a totally natural, non-invasive form of treatment designed to enhance your natural healing process. It affects the whole person rather than just the symptom or disease and assists your body’s natural ability to balance, regulate, heal and maintain itself by the correct use of essential oils.
